Arkansas RB walks away from football

Probably should've called it quits after the first injury.. Writer of the article needs to do better research.. You don't have a 'disc' fused.. You have vertebrae, minimum of two, fused.. Been there done that..

Had C5, 6 & 7 fused.. I've got a pretty hi tolerance for pain but I CAN NOT imagine trying to play the game after having that surgery.. Hats off to people that do it but they should probably give up the game..

Hate it for him, but it is the right decision. Can't mess around with neck injuries.

Chase Hayden may get on the field sooner than he expected now.

Tough for Williams but you gotta believe it's the correct decision. Seems like a great kid and I know he's a helluva running back. Wish nothing but the best for him and hopes he realizes his dream and becomes a GM someday.

A good example of a true student athlete. And a class guy. Success on the field and more importantly in the classroom. He can walk away because he doesn't have to have a NFL contract to succeed.

they had another RB just announce a transfer. he probably wasn't going to get much playing time. but sometimes you just need bodies.
