Exactly how long have there been such obvious differences of opinion between the school and the coach?

Brock was on a short leash from day 1. Getting mauled by Navy again was always going to be the end of the story.

Which means that people of importance basically held their nose when they made him the initial offer and were looking for any excuse to get rid of him.

I don't get that logic at all.

I think that's the case. Ross left them in a bit of a lurch and might have done it to get his son the gig. I'm not sure.

The article basically makes the point that we would have gone another direction from the start if not for the abrupt decision from Ross.

Brock is Bobby's son?
no. Bobby's son was OC while Ross was there. Ross recommended Brock on his way out the door, but I'm not sure it was heartfelt. It was to make sure his son had a place to work the next season. Didn't work out.

Will Brock go back to Wild Kingdom?
