I never liked that SOB. I can understand a good player leaving their home state to play at a big time school, but to come back and wave that school's flag at mid-field after a win......in your home state? Throw the book at him, Judge!(GAVol @ May 12 said:Come on . . . I understand you like the guy, but that read pretty down the middle to me. I doubt too many NFL players get arrested without it making the paper.

Off topic, WCG. Is there any facility on campus named after Joe Morrison. I always thought he was a good coach and a neat personality.(West Columbia Gamecock @ May 12 said:I always read posts about people "calling up and cancelling their subscription" to their local fish wrap. Are you really going to do it????
No. He was a good coach, but he let the team get way out of control. The SI article was the beginning of the end with the steroids and drugs scandal. Spurrier had a plaque put in one corner of the stadium in honor of The Man in Black.(hatvol96 @ May 12 said:Off topic, WCG. Is there any facility on campus named after Joe Morrison. It was. I'm going to let some more entries roll in, then make a decision close to the opener.(West Columbia Gamecock @ May 12 said:No. He was a good coach, but he let the team get way out of control. What's the latest on your avatar? I thought that puffy hat picture I dug up was a classic.
That sounds cool. Just remember, I think I was the first to suggest an avatar. I have an arsenal of them that I like to use. My two favorites are GAVol (I only say that so he won't blacklist me) and JasonGiveHim6. That is a cool video.(hatvol96 @ May 12 said:It was. Spurrier's Booster Club Tour(GAVol @ May 12 said::lol: There have been a lot of flag wavings at Williams-Brice haven't there?
Until we run him out of SC just like we did while he was at UF. :dunno:(West Columbia Gamecock @ May 12 said:Spurrier's Booster Club Tour
The best comedy moment of the night came when Spurrier was asked during the question-and-answer session what Phil Fulmer said to him when the coaches met at midfield following USC's 16-15 victory last October. "He had a look on his face as if his wife and children had been in a car wreck," Spurrier said. "He wasn't very happy. I can understand. He had a disappointing year. Coach Fulmer has plenty of players. They'll be back."
All I know is you looked like hell for a good 24 hours after that game.
