I don't know why liberals continue to shoot themselves in the foot over stuff like this.
I thought the whole idea of university was to expand knowledge. If some student is offended for an hour and is furthermore going to base the rest of his existence at the college living under that premise, maybe he isn’t made for college life.

Get one episode pulled and it will kill the show.

Welcome to my world. You all are so short sighted that you don't realize that this type of stuff can boomerang back on you. 1st Amendment liberals in the 1980s and 1990s were fully aware of the dangers of censorship and book burning. Now it is your time to learn.

One wonders if there might not be more to the story .....

I searched this story and even Fox is carrying it as "it's being reported that ..." This has the feel of the facts being, shall we say, a bit tweaked.

Rookies. They need to have a Mohammad portrait drawing contest to draw them out so a retired security guard can shoot them in the head. I still can’t believe those guys weren’t charged with illegal game baiting by TPWD 😂

Why would a meme that was relevant to the discussion get moved? Not every single meme has to be in 1 thread. If the meme adds to the discussion, just leave it!

Some of these mods aren’t any better than the administrators at these universities!

Happy New Years guys. Here’s to hoping VN isn’t so ridiculous in 2023 😉 🎉

WHO BELONGS?
This was online class, they were given 2 minutes to turn their feed off and were warned about the depictions that were about to be shown.
If the Hamline university administration didn’t follow their administrative guidelines in firing this guy, I can smell a lawsuit coming to academia.

There are far too many emotionally soft people in this country that go out of their way to get offended. Doesn’t matter if they are liberal, conservative, or fence riding libertarians. Fragile minded society.

Muslims tend to get torqued easily - remember the Charlie Hebdo and Salman Rushdie things. But you are right a lot of people do go out of their way to be offended by words, statues, works of art, garage door pulls, etc. - anything and everything The ironic part is that the people feeling outrage over things that have been a part of our lives for decades or centuries think everyone else should snap to their new found rules of etiquette and behavior - NUTS. Think it was yesterday that a football announcer (someone else's John Ward) was suspended indefinitely for uttering the words "illegal aliens". Apparently the mainstream media and libs have been working too hard to eradicate accurate terminology (but terminology they want to destroy) to let this guy speak freely with the appropriate words.

I’m sure the excessive mortality in the last 2 years is related to what happens after people get offended.
