I don't know if this link has been posted earlier, but I was reading the recaps on the Kentucky Derby Festival and it pretty much said Duke is pretty much the truth (only player with double-double I think) and Wayne is solid all-around. It also stated that Marques was a "true point" and he's extremely unselfish, but that he doesn't fit into Coach Pearl's style of play. Has anybody seen him play before and is this is accurate?

Duke is the real deal, and will make an impact immediately. I expect him to get "SEC Freshman of the Year". Just look at how he's been performing in the Jordan Classic scrimmages against the nation's elite!

Wayne Chism will give us solid minutes next year, and will be a huge lift defensively and on the boards. I wouldn't expect him to average double-digits in scoring his freshman year, but he's got a lot of potential in that area, which Bruce will no doubt unlock.

Marques Johnson is probably a mixture of CJ and Dane Bradshaw. I disagree that he is not right for Pearl's system, because you need some control to the chaos. He is a smart player like Dane, and he's a good ball-handler. He will probably be more valuable dishing the ball to the playmakers than scoring. He is reported to be excellent behind the arc, but I'm not sure if he's a spot-up shooter, or if he can shoot with someone in his face. We will have plenty of offense next year, so MJ doesn't have to be scoring machine. His only question mark to me is whether or not he can play pressure defense. I don't have any worries about his transition game after seeing some of his down-the-court passes. MJ will not only compliment his teammates, but he adds another dimension to this team, which is why I'm glad to have him at UT.

Yeah I agree with that evalution. He is a "better" Dane Bradshaw. No disrespect to Bradshaw. But, he is taller, longer, more athletic, and a better outside shooter. And he still brings all the small things to the game that a successful basketball team needs. He is a smart unselfish player who will make the hustle plays and will get the ball into the hands of the playmakers in the right positions to be successful. He is a great pick up. Rivals evaluations are wrong all the time. And that is not an understatement. I mean look at that poor lowly 3-star PF LSU got two years ago....ummm....what was his name....oh yea Tyrus Thomas! They pegged that one. Ha.

I don't think I get ESPN-U, but the game will also be shown Sunday afternoon at 1:30 on ESPN2.
