Tomorrow Football Time In Tennessee Really Begins.

tennessean:If UT Runs, UF falls
"With the running game, we're not all there yet," offensive guard David Ligon said. "Seventy-something rushing yards against Air Force isn't going to cut it."
It probably won't against the Gators, either.

tennessean:Vols Hope Fla. Sees A Different Ainge
"Last year, they put eight in the box and played press coverage against us, and we couldn't get it done," Tennessee quarterback Erik Ainge said. "Obviously, we have to be ready for that. They have new corners, so we know that."

tennessean:Hefney In Awkward Position
Hefney didn't find out until team meetings on Monday that he was making the move. His emotions ran the gamut from excitement, to nervousness, to sorrow for his fallen pal Johnson.
"I was like, 'Wow,' " Hefney said. "The timing is crazy, but you want to measure yourself against the best. I was struggling some the first day of practice. Everything was going real fast. But it's slowing down and coming back to me. I know I can do it."

tennessean:Foster's Status Still Unknown
Fulmer said Foster, who missed practice much of this week with a sprained left ankle, will be a game-time decision even though he was able to do more in Thursday's practice than he did on Wednesday

Harrell update: Fulmer said he still isn't sure how much defensive tackle Justin Harrell will be able to play in what likely will be Harrell's his final game at Tennessee.
Harrell returned to practice on Wednesday after deciding to postpone season-ending surgery on his ruptured left biceps tendon until next week.
"I think he'll play as much as he possibly can," Fulmer said. "He's a little bit sore from (Wednesday's) practice, but that was expected. I bet he'll play quite a bit, but I don't know that.
"The strength in his arm may be a bit limited, but he'll do all right, I'm sure. We'll see how much he can do when it's real. We're not going to put him out there and keep him out there if there's an issue."

tennessean:On Leak and Tebow
The symbiotic relationship between Leak and Tebow is a study in team concept. There doesn't appear to be any ill will between the two, and by all accounts they get along.

Gainsville Sun:Are UF freshmen Ready For Stage As Big As Neyland?

Gainesville Sun:Healed and Hungry
This one is special.
"It's real important," McDonald said. "I told Andre after the game Saturday night, 'We've got to step it up and make up for what happened last season.' He said, 'I know, I know.' We've talked about it, about what we have to do this weekend."

It's Time For Us To Send A Message Folks.
Go Vols!!!

Did I miss something? Did we not lose last year?

I forget to post the tfp's stuff...

tfpOnline:Commentary:UT/UF Not Same Without Visor Thrower
But old habits die hard. After losing to Spurrier eight times in his 12 years patrolling the Swamp, and often enduring his taunts after those defeats — "You can’t spell Citrus (Bowl) without a U and a T," was a personal favorite — it is understandable that the edge has warn off a rivalry that never really existed before Stevie Superior arrived in Gainesville in 1990. "It’s definitely not as much fun for me," said rabid Vols fan Joe Martin, who was purchasing a new UT football art print at the Sports Stop in Hamilton Place.

tfpOnline:On DB Corey Campbell Who Transferred
Campbell surprised many, including friends on the team, by announcing his impending transfer two days before the start of spring practice for his senior season. A three-year contributor in the Volunteers’ secondary, Campbell decided to leave mainly because of a lack of playing time, particularly as a starter.

He wound up at Division IAA Stephen F. Austin, roughly two hours from his hometown of Spring, Texas. Through two games, Campbell is a starter and near the team lead in tackles.

tfpOnline:Harrell Will Start
"A guy does that, I’m not going to put him on the bench," Fulmer said, "Yeah, he’ll start."

Fulmer anointed Harrell a captain for not only his final game, but the final time a Tennessee football player will wear Reggie White’s retired No. 92 jersey.

tfpOnline:Florida Visit Recalls Wilhoit Feat
I remember thinking, ‘I’m not going out like this,’" Wilhoit said. "So I was going to make the kick."

To this day, at each function Wilhoit attends, "Somebody always mentions the Florida game," he said.

that is all.

I prolly should've used more of the quote...
Caldwell and McDonald were injured in the Tennessee game last year. Thus they're looking forward to a better performance.

To add to that, they were injured AND missed the remainder of the 2005 season after playing Tenn last year. What they are making up for is not being able to contribute to the team for the season last year. I just didn't want it to sound like they were hoping for physical revenge on UT players since they got hurt last year. Definitely not the intent of the statement. It is a lot more clear in the article.

Well, at least Arian is now able to practice more.
