Welcome to Friday Nationals!!
Tomorrow it'll be ribs, Elvis, and the running game.

Some articles for the day before the Vols go to Graceland....

tfpOnline: Line Ready To Run
...Volunteers quarterback Erik Ainge, for one, can’t wait.

"They took it personal that some stuff was said in the papers about them, and they didn’t like that," Ainge said. "So they’ve been working even harder. You should have seen our practice (Tuesday). It’s amazing how good a shape and how much those offensive linemen can do."

tfpOnline:Commentary:Nice Piece On Future UT QB Coleman
"He has spoiled us to the point that the extraordinary is ordinary now."

Besides his obvious talent, B.J. is best known for the "Top Gun" baseball cap, a gift from his dad, that he wears everywhere, and a crippling handshake.

Potter advised Coleman that if he was going to wear the cap, he’d better live up to it. In Texas, anyone who talks a good game but can’t back it up is referred to as "all hat but no cattle," but through three years of rewriting the McCallie record books, becoming a Mr. Football winner and a University of Tennessee commitment, Coleman has lived up to the cap’s hype.

Tennessean:Recruiting Bluff City Frustrating For Vols
For Tennessee, this game is more about surviving and moving on.
Coach Phillip Fulmer might not say it publicly, but this is a game he would never schedule if he were making those decisions. There's very little to be gained and tons to lose from Tennessee's perspective.
Fulmer has done his best to be politically correct about the series, which has just three games remaining in the current contract after Saturday's game.

Tennessean:UT Seeking More Balance
"We are throwing it and catching it well right now, but there are still plays out there," said Ainge, who's third in the SEC in passing efficiency behind Florida's Chris Leak and LSU's JaMarcus Russell.
"There were a couple of balls (against Marshall) that I threw over the middle to Jayson Swain that I threw behind him. Obviously, I threw a ball behind Meachem that got intercepted, and I got lucky on the ball (Bret) Smith tipped and Swain caught.
"That is kind of how the season has been going so far. Those are the type of plays that I'm talking about that should be completions but aren't, and we need to address those."

Not much I know. Seems the media is just as uninspired by this game as folks have been here at The Nation.
Here's hoping the Vols can manage to motivate themselves better than we have....

Go Vols!!!

Nice to get something to read about BJ Coleman. Thanks! :)

Coleman's McCallie beat Kevin Cooper's Baylor tonight 42-21 after it was tied at halftime 21 - 21. McCallie scored their 3 touchdowns in the first half on 8 plays. Oh, Ted Turner was in attendance rooting for his McCallie team.
