Greg McElroy got cut today. Once again shows that Saban cannot put a successful QB in the NFL. In other news, Matt Simms recently had a great night for the Jets and Tyler Bray made the Chiefs.
Our last two QBs are doing well, Bamas are unemployed.
Success or failure of former Bama players at the next level determines whether or nor Bama's football program sucks?
Yeah, no.
Sorry guys, I should have clarified. Basically, my point was that Bama has a sucky reputation of producing successful NFL QBs. Yes they beat us and everyone. I'm just thinking about it from a recruiting standpoint, that UT QBs are having more success than Bama even though Bama has been amazingly successful.
Obviously my thread title was not well thought out. My apologies.
The OP actually has a point. From a QB perspective, Bama is pretty average with respect to everyone else. They aren't world beaters, they are just surrounded by superior talent. The offense isn't even complicated. All the talk of McCarron for heisman, and ESPN being all over his jock is just that, hype. McCarron is no different than most QB's, other than the fact that he has an easier job when it comes to winning, because everyone else around him are the work horses.

Good grief, the OP is pathetic. College and NFL are 2 different things. Using the NFL to measure success on the college level is crazy.
As far as recruiting goes, I don't see how it matters. I agree that all top QB's dream of getting to the NFL. However, if a kid were to say that he was going to UT because that gave him the best chance to get to the NFL he would be ripped for using UT to get to the NFL and not being a "VFL."
And back to the OP, you're only talking about back-ups.
