Does anybody else get kinda aggravated thinking that he has always had this potential but has never played up to it till the last month and a half.

i'll say this.. if JP could shoot like, even skylar, he'd be an all american and a lottery pick

I'm not aggravated...especially if he can help us get to our first Elite 8 ever (and mayyyyybe, dare I say, a Final 4).

I see what you mean, but I'm just enjoying this ride right now.

Yeah guess aggravated was a bad choice of a word. It's just the potential has always been there, but I am glad he is using his potential right now when we need it the most.

He has had very good games since he has been here. I know what you mean though, he would disappear for several games, have a good one, then disappear again.

The past 3 years I have been alternatively frustrated and exhilarated by his play. But he has definitely put it together lately, and at just the right time. I am going to miss this guy, and I am very grateful I get to see him for at least 1 more game.

For someone with his penetration ability to not be able to make FTs consistently was aggravating. But he has improved his FT % by quite a bit over the last month or so.

I'd like to see u get 2 major shoulder surgeries (or was it 3?) and almost die during the off=season, and play really consistently!! :eek:lol:

Haha now see it is posts like this that are going to cause a lot of unhappy fans IF we lose to ohio st/ga tech. Nothing is a given remember that. All Tennessee has done so far is beat two double digit seeds.
GBO!

His sophmore season, and first at Tennessee, I predicted he would be an All-American before he left. Obviously I couldn't have been more wrong, but it's good to see him using some of his potential when it matters most.

I have one...
Demarcus Cousins-bloody tampon. That's far more severe
Than a bloody sock.

This is the first time in his career here that he is actually healthy

He came from Arizona after his crazy coma situation and then he had shoulder surgeries the first 2 off-seasons he was here.

Agreed. He has become probably the M.V.P. of this team. He is capable of doing a bit of everything. I never thought I would be saying this, but w/o J.P. we wouldnt be in this position.

Compare Lofton's stats from his first 3 years, to his stats from his senior season, while they were still solid they were no where near his potential, or his previous two seasons, off season injuries severely hurt development

JP frustrated me for years, but he is playing awesome now. I hope we keep going and beat Kentucky in the Championship.

He does certain things quite well--good defensively, rebounds, drives to the basket with his left hand. Yea, if he had a right hand and could shoot he'd be extremely good, but now we can only hope to get four more great games out of him!

Right now, I'm not complaining. J.P. has been absolutely superb.

And for all the people saying he's finally healthy, that doesn't excuse when he cherrypicked, or when he made a dumb turnover, or was lazy on D.

he shoots a higher 3 point percentage than Skylar, Chism, and Bobby Maze. and has the second highest field goal percentage on the team behind Kenny Hall.

J.P. has really stepped his game up to a new level the last few games..it helps our team tremendously with taking pressure off of chism to be the go-to-guy..let's hope he keeps it up..i never thought i'd say this but do ya'll think J.P. has a chance to play overseas or possibly the next level?
