Actually, given the illogical way the APR is calculated, it makes perfect sense. He was an enrolled scholarship freshman in the fall of 2010. That's pretty much the entire criteria. Doesn't matter if he's ruled ineligible or quit before practice started. He counts.

Bingo. Hence the reason a lot of people were not willing to gamble on him. Worked out just fine for UK since he passed his classes.

Is he taking up a basketball scholarship? If so, the ruling makes more sense. If he is not using a basketball scholly, then this is ridiculous.

Fwiw, UK BB finished the year with a 3.1 gpa per coachcal.com. Not bad for a bunch of "non-class attending" one and dones.
