"It's the end of the world as we know it. It's the end of the world as we know it. And I fell fine."

Predictions? I say the Dow, which is down 500 as I write this, finishes the week down at least 1500 from open this morning.

Aside from the last line, the original post would work well on the main board.

I understood the joke. Weak, but I guess its all we have left right now, huh?

Know what sector I'd invest in right now? Public auction houses.

No it wasn't a joke. I had to call you on your misuse of the word fell instead of feel. Could that have been a Freudian slip? (I could see where you could take it as a poor joke though)

I heard Trump talking about it (bailout not passing) and he says the price of oil should and will drop like a stone in the coming weeks. Said the bailout would cause a rise in oil prices to offset the bailout money.

Interesting. I see what you, BPV, robbins, abd VBH are saying but still have a very hard time pulling for what you say is best. Seems mostly like lawyers in Congress, not businessmen. However, Bob Corker from TN is a businessman(might be a lawyer too, not sure) and I hear him on the radio a lot lately. He is one of our senators. I can almost hear the fear in his voice when talking on this subject. He voted for the bailout today and from the times I have heard him speak seems ready as hell to get it done and get it done fast.

I am sorry but saving a couple of bucks at the tank is the least of all our worries.

but the basics were written by Paulson, Bernanke and Co. Once they relinquished it, it went way downhill.

And that is the conundrum. Obviously some action needs to be taken. But people are trying to take advantage of that fact and thus more crap gets churned out. I believe you are of the notion to go ahead and take the crap so long as the necessities get passed. Correct or wrong?

I view it as necessary.
