If they can't win a championship with these guys, they won't ever.

One and done's are not the solution, nor are they the key to winning championships. Games, yes, but not championships.

Experienced players like Chism, Prince, Lofton, J. Smith, etc, are the ones that you have to have.

Thoughts?

One and dones can win titles. However, UK won't have a more talented team than this one.

How many Elite Eights did Lofton and J. Smith make?

Jim Boeheim finds your post funny.

If the one year rule existed when LeBron finished high school, his team would have had a damn good chance...

I think a lot of coaches could have taken this year's Kentucky team deeper in the tourney than 'roll it out and let em play Cal' did.

Why? Cousins was still going to be a mental midget, Wall was going to be limited to driving, Bledsoe streaky and Patterson an undersized disappearing man.

It all comes down to who your teammates and coach is. Look at Durant. He is the best young player in the league and he couldn't win it all because Rick Barnes makes Paul Hewitt look like a COY candidate. Plus his teammates were horrible. No one at this level can force themselves to a championship by themselves.

I agree they have some issues, but with as much raw talent as that group has, a little coaching should be able to mask a few deficiencies.

I'm sure the entire city of Memphis was rooting for WVU to win that game. After all, the one and done's would have been playing there this year. Cal is a great recruiter, not an in game coach so unless he pulls this type of recruiting class every year, you will see UK in the Sweet 16 and elite 8 a lot, just not in the final four.

Just left Catspause a minute ago.

If you haven't been there, you are wasting a good time.

MR. Negavol is back.

It is not a negative against the Vols to state a fact that contradicts a point that someone is trying to make. He is right. This Kentucky team did more than those players ever did on the Vols. So has our current team as far as the tournament is concerned.

Yeah, because Edgar Padilla, Carmelo Traveiso, Dana Dingle, and Tyrone Weeks were all top 20 recruits.

They went 35-3. What qualifies as masking?

I'm no Cal fan, but his squad wore it out for a team of freshmen.

It takes a team to win. We proved it yesterday. To say one or two players didnt do anything for the program because they didnt make it as far as we would have liked is wrong in my opinion. Without their success we wouldnt be where we are now.
