Some were talking about Korean shows in the Netflix thread, and I feel like this topic deserves its own thread. I know there is a lot of good stuff out there, but it's not exactly easy to find or visible.

After seeing Parasite and The Raid franchise, I realized I'm probably missing out on a lot, and I've been diving in. I need recommendations and I'm happy to give them.

The Raid (Indonesian) - It's a pretty good action flick made on what was seemingly a shoestring budget.

The Raid II - Bigger budget resulted in a next-level action movie that inspired the director of John Wick II and III. It's sick.

First Love (Japanese) - this movie is awesome. It's kind of like a Coen brothers style plot and it's got some laughs and it's tense and gruesome at points.

Shadow (Chinese, I think) - this movie is pretty good. It's kind of the same style as Drunken Tiger, which isn't exactly my favorite, but the plot was good and there were a lot of cool elements.

I like Old Boy. Haven't even heard of these other ones, besides Train to Busan which I own but haven't watched yet. I think I bought it for a $5er on Vudu.
