And he got 10 yards without being touched.

It's open every time. And Worley isn't that slow when he's running in open ground.

I'm sure there are designed keeps and handoffs, but CBJ is not the one making the reads.

Then Worley needs glasses, cos the lane is open almost every time.

Butch definitely has told him not to get hurt. Hand off.

I know it's a weird offense for you blue hairs but you all really need to learn what a READ option is.

Anyone who has volquest prescrption can testify that Jones said Worley can run it anytime he wants. He chooses not to

The lanes are open because he NEVER runs. After he keeps it once or twice in a game, those lanes will be closed. Not like Worley as a good athlete with the ball under his arm anyway.

We don't need to be running this spread offense crap with a slow, noodle armed QB. That's the OPPOSITE QB type you need.

Why we are running the read option still baffles me. I am watching Georgia run wild on LSU and they are not running this read option crap. They are lining up and running with power. Now I realize we have nowhere near their talent level but this read option stuff is a bunch of crap. Get a fullback out there and run it up teams guts with our big uglies up front.

I was watching on TV and I can honestly say that when he kept the first time I lost the ball because I was looking at the running back. If Worley would keep it once every 6-7 times, it would really open up the running game. Oh well, it's just a thought.

You people are damn idiots. Its a READ option. Key word READ. Butch Jones doesn't decide what to do once the ball is snapped.

They also have two of the best running backs in the country and a qb who can make any throw he needs to.

Didn't Neal average over 7 yards a carry today? I'm not sure the read option is our most pressing concern. Just my opinion.

Exactly. We score what 31 in the first half and give up 24 and all everyone is complaining about is the offense and coaching.

Defense anyone?

running backs, ourselves. Don't sell Lane and Neal short. They've each got some talent.

It has been said and needs to be said again: Worley needs to RUN the FREAKIN' BALL on this $#@ read-option or put a FB out there. He ran twice for 20? He could have run six times for 80. There were a couple of plays in the second half when he could have run for 20 yards. I don't think he is "reading" the defensive end on a lot of them or even any of them. I think that while our formation/scheme is read-option, it's pretty much a pre-determined handoff to the backs. One of the writers covering the team should ask Jones this.

You CANNOT BE PREDICTABLE. That kills any offense--and UT for years has been a very predictable offense. It's always obvious whether we are passing or running. Even with Bray, and we did the same thing with Ainge, most of our passing plays were middle-distance throws. Very predictable. Until we get a QB who can run, we're going to be at a disadvantage. Their QB killed us in the second half with third-down runs for first downs.
