don't think that way dude...we'll still have a soild line up. we'll get Mapu and Fisher in then and Xavier Mitchell and Robert Ayers will step up. Plus D. Mo. will get to shine:rock:

If D-Mo is such a superstar CB, why was he moved to safety? Why didn't he manage to become a starter? I'm not as confident in him as everyone else. He blew a coverage against Air Force that led to a huge gain, putting them on the 2.

Good point. Seems to me Xavier made a pretty decent play or two in the Air Force game...........

larry slade should have been fired a long time ago. i'm not saying he has anything to do with D.Mo moving to safety, but he hasnt shown that he can coach players up.

Mark my word....D-Mo will be an All American. It's just that Fulmer is a strong believer in starting a 5th year senior who is pretty good, over a sophmore or freshman who is a bonafide stud

d.mo was moved to safety at the time because of depth. he blew that play against air force, but go find a player on our defense that didn't blow a play in that game and i'll find you an all american to be.

florida isn't necessarily the game where you want to figure out what your secondary is made of and it'll be hard to get a good judge on it, but fortunately we have marshall and memphis afterwards so at worst, we're going to be 4-1 heading into the georgia game. morley is as good a tackler as anyone in our secondary and has the speed to keep up with anyone florida has running routes.

D-Mo has also proven himself on kickoff and mainly punt coverage...I think it will take him time to adjust, might get burnt a time or two, but he'll get the hang off it.

i assume your talking about J. Wade? i think Wade has been better than pretty good over the last couple years, and to me, his starting position is justified.

and it wasn't but two years ago we started 2 freshman DB.

i have been somewhat dissapointed with Stewart myself, but i think J. Wade has finally figured out how to play football.

I will agree. My comment was more towards Stewart. But Phil seems like that kind of guy who will started a pretty good senior over an amazing freshman or soph.:ermm:

D Morley will be a big contributor in the secondary. I think everyone is more concerned about the DL. Projected starters:

DE - Turk McBride
DT - M. McGothlin
DT - JT Mapu
DE - Antonio Reynolds

Subs:
DE: Xavier Mitchell, Robert Ayers; Walter Fischer
DT: Demonte Bolden, Dan Williams

Not much depth at DT, assuming Mapu can play the whole game now.
If Fischer is really back, probably move McBride back to DT.

I wonder if they will consider moving Myers White back to corner and V. Richard back to the D line? This really accentuates the loss of Williams to the clearinghouse.

it hurts, no doubt, but great teams overcome. As far as the Airforce game, every good team has at least one of those a year

Is the youngest Cottam fast enough to be moved to DE? Chase Nelson will also be called upon soon.
