we're not the most overrated team in the country. Notre Dame continues to prove totally undeserving of the hype they received coming into the season.

Agreed Hat. I'll repeat what I said a month or so ago - ND gets bounced in 1st or 2nd round by mid-major. Fundamentals don't win BB games, talent does.

You know...

Posts like this one "At least we're not..."

They used to be about the football program.

I'm really glad we found CLK.

They are going to have to find another scorer. Harangody doing everything is not going to work. Last night Marquette proved that if you lock up McAlarney, ND is very beatable.

They have a stretch on the road coming up that I think they drop 2 out of 3....IMO they will have accumulated ten losses after their next 5 games.

And we are still #20 in RPI. If we can string together some SEC wins, we are still in good shape for getting into the NCAA's. I know that is well below the preseason hype, but I remember many years where I was hoping and praying we could somehow sneak in to postseason play.

Saying what I said above is looking on the bright side though. I am still very disappointed with this team's performance.

Don't look now, but with the Big East schedule I wouldn't be surprised if they missed out in the NCAA Tournament.

Yeah, I made me some money on the Uconn/ND game. I mean...I would have made money on it if gambling were legal.

As overrated as ND may be, I fairly certain that they would beat us.

they can't win on the road. fell apart @ Louisville.

Yeah, but Louisville can play defense -- we can't. Come to think of it, we can't play offense particularly well either. Indeed, I think every member of our team fails the ever important "could he definitely beat me at H.O.R.S.E.?" test. And JP Prince has apparently never fully grasped the concept of the "charge" call. And Scotty Hopson plays basketball like the lane is made of quicksand and like he is wearing a collar that shocks him with voltage if he misses a jump shot. Hey, if the lane was made of quicksand I had to wear a collar that shocked me every time I missed a jumpshot, I don't think I would do much on the court either. Did I mention that our best player also appears to be slightly afraid to shoot the basketball when he is 12 or more feet from the basket. You don't think he's wearing a collar, is he? And the guy that is generally regarded as our second best player, but who I think is actually our best player, can't seem to finish a half of basketball without getting three fouls.

Anway, minor problems such as these are historically an impediment to winning games.
