Storylines:
As these are old Big 12 (and really, even Big 8) conference-mates, Mizzou leads the series 28-23, though Oklahoma State won last meeting 45-23 in 2011. (Though Ok State was pretty much the only Big 8 school besides Kansas State that Missouri didn't have a rivalry with).
Ok State is 15-8 in bowl games; Missouri is 13-16.
A Missouri win would give Gary Pinkel his 102nd win, passing Don Faurot (who won 101 games at the school, won 3 conference championships, and took them to a Sugar and Orange Bowl) as the winningest coach in school history.
If Missouri wins tonight, it will give them 12 wins on the season, tying the school record for most wins in a season. (Previously set by the same coach during the 2007 season, where they also made the Cotton Bowl and beat a Darren McFadden-led Arkansas)
(
though it also feels like there could be a "Missouri: where the Cotton Bowl's the ceiling" joke that could be made from that as well)
