I've got a tentative appointment for next month to get hooked up, somewhat on the fence. I've heard reviews from all points on the spectrum

I'm also getting it installed...the crew is coming on the 27th. Everything seems good so far, but I'm hesitant on the whole "if Internet goes, so does phone and tv" issue. Regardless, that still beats the Xfinity crap I'm with right now.

same boat - moving to a new place that has this plus my current set up as option. Questionable HD quality complaints are my biggest concern

I have had it for a year and love it. No problems at all. Just wish it had NFL Sunday Ticket

I have had it for a few years and have not had any problem. I like it.

Had heard that HD picture was not the best (compared to satellite, OTA, cable).

What's your HD experience like?

Also, how robust is the Internet connection?

I went from SD TV to uverse HD, so my case may be a study of ignorance being bliss. I have not benchmarked it against other options.

How do you define "robust"? I am a fairly casual internet user, for lack of a better term. I do not do a lot of downloading or online gaming, so it is fine for my needs. I stream netflix on my PS3 through the wireless network and have no complaints.

The only time I have ever had connectivity problems was when my yellow lab dug up the cable running to my house and chewed it in half. But that is a whole other story...

The bastages don't have a workaround? They obviously suck.

Got hooked up today. Took all day long - 8 to 5. Apparently I'm on the edge of the shiz working.

Two different outside crews spent about 5 hours on the lines outside. Inside guy was here twice. Add in the first year discount and AT&T spent a butt load on this install (no charge and free equipment for a year).

Have to give them props on communication throughout and before.

Internet is cranking over 17 on downloads. Have virtually every channel known to man. HD picture looks a little soft but I'll work on my settings.

Overall, positive for day 1.

Just cancelled Uverse today and my Directv gets hooked up in 3 weeks. Still have high speed. Anyone have suggestions, websites that I can stream live tv shows? My wife wants to watch So U Think U Can Dance among others. Thanks!

The Residential Gateway - router sucks so far. Can barely and rarely get a signal at the other end of the house (and it ain't a big house).

Also, my Airport Express' will not work currently (looking into a work around) but that screws my whole house music set-up.

Picture was stalling and pixelating on the TV this morning but working fine so far. Day 2 is considerably less rosy than Day 1.
