You're an Irish descendant, correct?

Only in the sort of disembodied, general way that everyone from south Appalachia is descended from the Irish and the Scots. I don't think anyone has ever been able to piece together when any of my actual ancestors came over on the boat. I just have Stockholm syndrome from spending the last 25 years drinking in Irish-owned pubs because that's where the good Guinness is.

Cheers mate

I'm about to get the check and head home. The green people are arriving already, with their deelyboppers and their beads and their plastic flashing shamrocks.

Fortunately, there's lots more Guinness back at the house. And a perfect day and a deck to drink it on.

As much as she'll be willing to on a school night. She's a hell of a lot smarter than I am about it. I predict she'll have two pints and a dram of whiskey, and then I'll be able to talk her into a little more of one of the other. But that's it.

Thought this was interesting:

As a third-round pick in 2014, Borland signed a four-year contract with a $617,436 signing bonus. The 49ers have the right to recover 3/4ths of that amount ($463,077).

To me this just says that the NFL feels like it got lucky with the CTE stuff. And that they would rather ignore all potential bad press when it comes to it. They aren't doing this out of the goodness of their hearts (and I don't intend to demean NFL teams with that).

Edit: should have clarified that the 49ers apparently have no intention in trying to go after the bonus money.

Nothing more nerve racking than opening night coaching.. Especially if your 12 yr old brother is pitching in 14u league.
