Been noted in multiple individual threads, but pretty remarkable how much activity we've got in MO this cycle. Not sure if it's just a supercharged group this year or if, having landed Bradley in 2023 Heup and Co. realized that's an area we can mine due to the lack of strong internal presence from Mizzou, but IMO it's a smart strategy. It's not a natural footprint per se, but if you can poach from a spot like that where nobody owns it, it increases your chances of landing additional elite players.

2024 Top Football Recruits in Missouri (247sports.com)

Currently at least Top 3 for #1, Nwaneri

Leader for #2, Wingo

Possible leader for #4, McClellan

Currently at least Top 3 for #8 Reddell (who is On3's #1 overall TE)

Just offered #9

Tionne Gray, Hazelwood Central, Defensive Line (247sports.com)
Just offered , currently unranked)

CJH coached there a few years. Maybe he built some lasting relationships with some of the high school coaches that are still paying dividends?
Probably had relationships dating back to when he coached at OU and Mizzou was big 12 country.

If a kid in Missouri wanted to play real SEC football, Tennessee is his closest option.

Winning and national exposure allows you to go into places without a successful program and steal their top talent. Missouri produces some top tier talent every year. Not a bad strategy at all.

I don't care if we get them from Mizzou or Missoula, as long as we can get quality players to enable CJH to build on the magical 2022 season.

I look forward to returning to the day when a Coach looks at his schedule and finds his team having to travel to Neyland Stadium. He just automatically scribes in a "L" for that date. I am 100000% confident that Heupel and White are the team to get us there.
