Just talked with my soon-to-be father-in-law (huge Auburn fan), and he said that there were 83,000 at their spring game. I find this very hard to believe, but he provided footage, and it looked pretty packed. That number would have to be the entire stadium just about though. Anyhow, if the number was indeed accurate, probably two reasons why: 1) Gus and 2) Toomer's trees farewell.

I don't know what kind of team they have next year. In the meantime, I'll wait for next month's report of further wrongdoing (that will never be punished) from down there.

#2 is correct. It's about the last rolling.

They had Gus for 3 years and averaged less than half that number.

Well, what I meant was he's the head coach now. It's something new off of a 3 win season and his offense led them to a national title. Or Cam Newton actually led them to one, but whatever.

On another note, I should point out that I like my future father-in-law and don't doubt what he says. I just really hate every SEC team other than Tennessee.

Everytime I see a thread bring up Auburn, I just want to gag.

I'm sorry. I about wanted to gag too when he told me how many showed up there. I just saw that there was a thread for other SEC spring games and figured I'd start this one. Maybe it can be a bash Auburn thread like all the rest? :)

It's fine. It's just really hard for me to believe that there was that many people at the Auburn spring game. I really don't see any improvement from them this year anyway.

ehhh they probably inflate the numbers like we do. I still was hoping for atleast some bulk in our upper bowl

Their stadium seats 87K, and this is a picture from today.

Pretty full, at least from the pic. I have to admit, I thought we had more than 61,000 today. I was telling others it looked like maybe somewhere between 65 to 70,000.

Very good to hear that. Clearly, Butch's efforts are paying huge dividends in terms of marshalling support from the fan base.
