Auburn fined $250K for fans storming field after beating Bama

This is about as asinine of a rule that there is. The SEC is the only conference that does everything possible to take the enjoyment out of the game. Other schools and conferences do it all the time and there are very few injuries that take place. But considering the SEC view on credible officiating I can see where this might consider this their standard.

When Tennessee finally beats Alabama the fans will storm the field also and Tennessee will get fined a ton also

If I were Auburn, I would mail them a check for $500k. That will take care of 2021 as well
It's entirely worth it

All of this. And I will be one of them.

When Boston College beat No. 1 Notre Dame in South Bend I was there and my brother was playing for BC. My mother stormed the field in her beaver fur. So worth it. (No PETA hate)

It was #15 vs. #5. Not storm worthy, IMO. Gives too much credit to their rival.

Did the chick who got stuck in hedges also get fined?

I suspect this is more to insulate the SEC from potential lawsuits stemming from possible injuries. At least the SEC can claim they have instituted a rule with a substantial penalty.
