Auburn RB insults UT Defense

I stand corrected. Sorry for the oversight.
However the way he blasted our defense, especially on his 60+ yard gash and as few passing attempts they had he may as well have been a RB.
I think the message still stands.
Our defense played well for a half then the strength of their running game wore us down and the deficiency was exposed.
This recruiting cycle is critical and jones thankfully is getting it done.
However painful it is now, I believe we are on the rise.
In which half did they play well? It was pretty apparent that they could run it all over us from the second drive on. We need speed speed and more speed. Hopefully Butch can hold this recruiting class together, and get us on the right track.

I would want my backs to say the same thing if they dominated a game the way that team did.
These posts of so called insults are crazy

"They couldn't really stop the run, so we just kept our foot on their throat and just ran it down their throat," Marshall said.

UT football was crippled during the Dooley occupation both in talent and mindset.
Oh good grief. Give this non-sense up. There was enough talent on UT's D roster Saturday to look better than an FCS school vs Auburn.

Dooley didn't call one play Saturday. He didn't help with game prep either. He was NOT the reason those guys were out of position all the time nor the reason they seemed to never figure out how to set the corner.

Talent is coming but there are still questions with regard to the D staff. I love Jones and like the O staff more than many... but the D staff isn't impressing.

What exactly was the Dooley mindset? I want proof. Not what you want to believe is the truth.

It's a bit difficult to provide "proof" of a mindset. What I can offer is that having been watching UT football for 35 years I've never seen our players just stop fighting the way the did under Dooley. These players are predominantly his recruits. Therefore when it appears they quit fighting and take their foot of the gas ( as opposed to the other teams foot on our throat) I do feel that this is in some way still reflective of dooley's time at Ut.
I could be wrong- I just want to see the fire and swagger back. Even in a loss like Georgia it was present and I was proud of the team. I wanna see that level of hunger every game and snap.
I hope CBJ and his recruits will be able to bring that back.

The loss to Auburn was expected do the disparity in talent level, but the way we lost is what as a vol fan burns to the core.
Sadly Marshall was correct in his analysis. Defense wins championships and we have little depth in this area. Coach Jones is doing what it takes to bring in the necessary talent.
Either way this quote is a slap in the face to the defense and hopefully will motivate them appropriately for vandy.

The insult was what they did on the field. The statement was just fact.

Don't like it? Get better.

Poor kid will get crushed by CJ Mosely and the rest of the Bama defense. Hope the Dawgs destroy their former teammate also. He had 7 pass attempts against the Vols .. almost made themselves one dimensional.
