August Solar Eclipse Conspiracy?

not trying to start any. But this morning some of the talking heads on the radio were going on about "All the conspiracies around the solar eclipse." I hadn't heard of any before, has anyone heard anything?

My mom tried to tell me it's one of "the signs"... I said mom, total eclipses happen about every other year just in different parts of the world. Now I'm no biblical scholar but I doubt there is any thing in the Bible pertaining to an eclipse across the continental US.

I have wondered how the flat earthers explain an eclipse. They think the sun is only a few miles away, so how big is the moon that it can fit between us and the sun?

Also, how are transits of Mercury and Venus explained?

Not a conspiracy but still absolutely hilarious. A woman in Texas wanted an eclipse viewing party moved to the weekend so her kids could attend.
