The word is that UConn is putting a big push on for Crystal Dangerfield, for one.

Jim

Correct, Dangerfield is a target for them. A lot depends on Tennessee getting Asia Durr as to whether or not Dangerfield comes here. If Durr comes here, Dangerfield will likely not. Same with UConn regarding Durr.

A card Tennessee has to play is Meme Jackson, Dangerfield's teammate at Blackman HS, has already committed to Tennessee for 2015. Another former teammate on the USA team, LeaLea Carter from Dickson, is a likely a Tennessee lean. Both Carter & Dangerfield are Top 10 kids, and could be Top 5.

Asia Durr is the caveat IMO.

I am really hoping Asia Durr comes to Tennessee. She would complete the best perimeter talent Tennessee has ever had on one team in history.

He's definitely looking to steal Dangerfield far away from Tennessee.

at first i thought LeaLea was a totally different person from Chassity Carter.

I don't have my hopes up, but Holly did make the trip to the World Championships to watch her play, where UConn did not. It may not matter, but it does show how much Tennessee wants Asia in orange.

If Pat were still coaching he would never have crossed into the state unless she invited UConn to come to K-town for a game!

If we were to get Durr that shouldn't deter Dangerfield at all. Even though Durr plays the point she excels when she's in the 2 guard role. So let's say Draya leaves her junior year then Dangerfield would only be a backup to Cooper since they would be the only true points. So her decision might come down to how much pt she gets coming off the bench for Cooper. If not Tennessee I think she stays in the SEC if not maybe Louisville or ND. But I don't think she ends up at Uconn.

Just from what I've heard, it's very unlikely CD will come to TN if Durr comes here too. She is a Top 5 player in the country, and will likely come in with Draya, Jordan, Cooper & Durr ahead of her. A player of her caliber wants to play.

That being said, I think she likes Tennessee a lot. If Durr doesn't come here, I do think Dangerfield does. I also don't think she goes to UConn. I doubt she even visits.

Well we do have these four players along with Tucker and Me Me Jackson so we'll be ok whatever happens.

As stated, the LVs are loaded, especially in the back court. No worries.

I agree gametime. However, if you look at UConn's incoming classes, they too are loaded in the guard positions. It doesn't seem to make much sense why he would be looking at Dangerfield - tho she could be a MAJOR asset to a ton of other teams.

I think there must be other girls he was looking at in the tourney. . .
