CBS Sportsline is reporting that UF is courting Geno for womens BB coach. Anyone else hear anything about this?

maybe somebody can explain it for me, but why would he consider leaving UCONN for florida?

he'll be moving to a school with no tradition in women's hoops...he'll be competing in a tougher conference...and he'll be leaving a school where women's games are sellouts, that won't happen at Florida....it makes no sense.

Several reasons...

1. Money
2. Lower cost of living (no state income tax)
3. Living in Hog Town (Gainesville) in the winter is better than Storrs in the summer.

I don't think Bruce and Pat fear Billy and Geno.

Bruce already has a winning record against Billy, and the talent and experience will swing in UTs favor next year.

Geno will have a lot of work ahead of him to get the kind of talent in Gainesville that Pat has in Knoxville.

Kind of old news, but Morris has transferred to the Knicks, Crawford and Meeks are rumored to be considering leaving, but I don't think you'll see any movement until a new coach is named. It would be a mistake, in my opinion, for either to leave.
