should we just have the government take over the auto indrustry? and subsidise it like we subsidise ethonal, wind power and solar. it's obvious that they can't stand on their own any longer.

in fact, since we are pretty much a socialist country, we should just go the rest of the way.

yep and they'll do it smarter, they won't bow to the outragous unions like detroit has. detroit is such a great example of democrat/liberal policies when it comes to unions. one that foreign companies will not doubt learn.

The foreign car companies will probably setup shop somewhere in the south where it is a right-to-work state and they won't have to deal with unions anyway. I know here in Alabama we have Toyota, Honda, and Mercedez Benz, and many of the first and second tier suppliers are in surrounding states.

Doesn't Tennessee have a Nissan plant somewhere as well? Tennessee is right-to-work, correct?

I don't know why anybody would want to set up business on the west coast or up north, it just seems operating costs alone would be to high.

oh yeah, i believe they have a bill in congress now that is going to change that. the bill will basically force any company to go union if a group of employees demand it. it is a really bad bill. critics say it will lead us to be just like France
