What's interesting is Cameron has already written the scripts for the 4 sequels. So they'll start filming Avatar 2 this summer but eventually they'll be filming Avatar 2 & 3 simultaneously. Sigourney Weaver will also be returning for the sequels in some capacity, I'm not entirely sure how but her character must live on somehow or at least her voice does.

Avatar 2 release date will be mid December of 2020.

Avatar 3 release date will be mid December 2021.

Avatar 4 release date will be mid December 2024.

Avatar 5 in 2025.

WTF wants 4 more of these movies?

I have family in the Orlando area with season passes to Disney. They went a few weeks ago and said the new Pandora section of Animal Kingdom was so packed they didn't bother going into it.

So a lot of people I guess.

I enjoyed the first one in the theatre. I still think it had the best 3D I've seen to date. Upon second viewing you realize how hollow the story really was but still entertaining.

like a majority of fantasy, great cover - aesthetically pleasing. what's telling is how the story stands test of time. Plot is silly. The world they created is so imaginative its a shame the execs at Disney will pump steroids into it to get a blockbuster film, all action, no character depth. iow, eye candy.

Give me Tolkein anyday. Thats the level of detail we need

These don't get made without James Cameron's heavy hand.

And Disney is doing ok with Marvel, Star Wars, and their love action remakes.

is that an artful rendition of Rafael from TMNT's in your avi? i didnt ask about Marvel, Star Wars, and Dewayne Johnson's attempts at kid films. Nor was I discussing them. I was talking about the refuse called Avatar.

News flash... Disney owns Marvel and Star Wars. They do not own Avatar.

So what is your point?
