This may be the wrong forum, but I wanted to share something that made me proud. Mods feel free to move this thread if I've misplaced it.
I work as Director of Media Services at Northeast State Community College in Blountville, and we produce a lot of video through our Mass Comm Dept. We use Avid as our editing software, because Avid is the industry standard.
Last week at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), Avid unveiled their Demo Reel for this year. The demo reel is intended to showcase the best of Avid, and a video that I produced for our school (a promotional piece about the campus history) made it onto the reel. It really looks out of place, but we're represented amongst several blockbuster movies and shows.
