Basically we had what I to believe are 2x all-SEC caliber big men.

Aidoo got the minutes to actually achieve that award. But Awaka was good enough to get it had he gotten more minutes.

selfishly I’d love to have them both. But I can’t earnestly say retaining them both is what’s best for both of these young men.

Awaka will go somewhere, play big minutes and win some awards assuming he can stay out of foul trouble. I’ll be rooting for him.

Well, Basilio said shocking turn of events. Said they were expecting Aidoo to enter the portal. Awaka/Aidoo both felt that it was going to be hard for them both to coexist. Awaka decided to jump first.

Reading the tea leaves it sounds like it was awaka or aidoo. Not being pushed out or anything but both guys had to realize that minutes are going to get even more limited with Estrella’s development. Would’ve rather have kept awaka personally.
