Brian Williams is a JOKE. He is a waste of a scholarship and jersey number. Sure we could use another body to take some of the fouls instead of Chism, but at what cost?

Ok, I know what some of you are going to say..."He is a big body and we need depth, he's getting better than he used to be, he was a project coming in..." BLAH BLAH BLAH...

LOOK, if you haven't noticed we did just fine in the paint without B.Williams against Kansas. We are going to play one other team as talented as them...KENTUCKY. Chism and company will take care of business.

So I apologize if I sound pessimistic (sp?) about BW coming back by the LSU game, but come on he is not an improvement...He's a BIG LOSS

agreed to a point........with Hall playing alot better, we don't need him as much as before......but it's always better to have an extra big man, and he's a very good rebounder, and a physical presence......we will need him come tourney time.........

We will need him to what??? Get in the way as JP drives the lane, to air ball a layup, to forget he is NOT a point guard and dribble the ball off his foot and then act like he didn't, to help out defensively on a ball screen but then be to slow and fat to get back to his own man...

But we just really need him come tournament time ...right? PPPPPLLLEEEAASSEEE!!!!

Frankly, we just need the fouls.

You can bash Brian all you want, but I know one thing: He can pass. I can't tell you how many times I've seen him touch pass to wide open player b/c people don't pay attention to what he's doing.

As long as he takes Steven Pearl's minutes and NOT Kenny Hall's, it's perfectly fine with me.

We've been lucky so far that we haven't had a game where Chism and Hall have both had serious foul trouble. I know he hasn't been impressive this year, but big Brian has had good games for us in the past. There will be a game where we are going need him to come in and play some minutes. Hopefully he comes back focused and steps up. Got to have more then 2 big men late in the season...got to. That being said, I don't see him passing up Hall on the depth chart. Also never hurts to have a big body to lean on the other teams big guy to wear him down.

I have not seen any final disposition on B. Williams. Not completely sure of all the facts. I do know as a coach that you feel responsible for each and every player the same as you do for your children. I believe it is the responsibility of the coaches and university to try and help each player that steps out of line to find the right direction and correct their mistakes. Sometimes, players make mistakes and must be removed from the team, i.e. Tyler Smith. That must have been a very difficult decision for CBP, because he promised Tylers dad to look out for Tyler.

Everyone deserves discipline and opportunity. It is what each person does with that opportunity that separates the positive from the negative. If CBP decides to allow B. Williams to remain with the team, then I respect and trust his decision is whats best for the team and the player.

GBO!!!

The least valuable attribute a collegiate 5 man can have.

With the (small) amount of minutes he will probably be getting, I think you're overreacting a bit. You ask at what cost, but what's the worse his presence can do? A stupid turnover later and he's back on the bench. With guys like Hall stepping up, Bruce has seen he doesn't need to rely on big Brian anymore... his role has changed.

It seems to me that CBP doesn't want to accept the fact that he blew the evaluation of B.Williams when he was being scouted...That's why he keeps playing him, CBP doesn't want to admit he was wrong.

I'd rather have another option on the bench just in case we needed him rather than needing another option and not having him.

Is it legal to put a shock collar on him with a remote control? If nothing else we can cut down on the lane violations.

We DO need the fouls, as well as a breather for other guys. Brian Williams isn't an All-American, but guys he's not THAT bad. He is sitting his time and paying his dues, and will contribute when he returns. Good to have some guys with chips on their shoulders realizing they are on their last thread.

I liked Williams early on as a project and I thought you saw a lot of improvement from year 1 to 2, but he has fizzled this year and it is a joke (to me) that Kenny Hall was sitting the bench while this guy was eating minutes (no pun intended). I think you will see him take Steven's minutes when he returns and if even thinks about snatching some of KH's minutes I will be extremely upset. He is an upgrade over Pearl basketball wise (not hustle wise), but no where near the talent Kenny Hall is. Him and Goins need to get comfortable on the bench because their spots have been claimed.

If he's gone we still take a hit on his scholly due to the scholarship rules with graduation rates so we might and well use him as a reserve off the bench. He doesn't deserve to play anymore than the minutes Pearl has been playing however
