Bachmann voted against the stimulus bill and has been very vocal about it as adding to the debt and not creating jobs.
After it passed, she wrote SIX letters -- that's SIX -- to the Transportation Secretary asking for stimulus funds ot be spent in her district on different projects. And in those letters, she wrote that the funds would result in the creation of jobs !!
What say ye, deficit hawks? How can one criticize the stimulus and say it won't create jobs, when you are on record SIX times saying that it will if spent in YOUR district.
I consider this a huge mark against her because, especially when viewed against the backdrop of the farm subsidies she and her family got, it sure seems that her claim of being a Tea Party fiscal conservative doesn't apply when its her district or herself that we are talking about.
