Of course, Palin might "refudiate" that.

Hmmmmmm..... I looked over those and it seemed to me, at least at first glance, that all of those are actual words.


So not quite the same thing as Palin's tweet. Also, none of them are taking the blatantly hysterically wrong word and inserting it into wrong place.

Especially with rich irony of effectively saying "We are a trash can."

What Bachmann said was the misuse of a word - just as Hillary Clinton did with "pawning".

So what's the point?

LG's "Tea Party/Cross Burning/If you don't trust Government than you are a bumpkin" threads should live in the same backwater region of VN as the other yahoos who post all over the politics forum about whacko theories.

Okay I found the quote Bachmann made - we are the receptacle of the Tea Party. It was in reference to the TP Caucus not dictating what the TP was but receiving input from the TP.

Technically, her words are not incorrect. A receptacle is a container - perhaps an inartful metaphor but she was saying they were a collector of information rather than creator of information.

Now, the question is why does the OP then make a big deal about it and throw in the "trash" analogy when the word does not mean trash container; it means container. I think we all know the answer.
