with losses by UGA, Oregon and LSU the Vols will definitely be Top 10 in the AP. Add in the Oklahoma loss and it should guarantee Top 10 in the coaches' poll as well.

Yeah. IMO Texas and ND will still be ranked ahead of the Vols even though the Vols had the most impressive victory. Cal is still on UT's heels with the thumping they put on the Ducks. The Golden Bears continue to make the Vols look good, thankfully.

true. but we would put up 70 on notre dame if our offense played like they did tonight. we would beat notre dame in a shootout.

i was thrilled to see cal kill oregon...makes tennessee look good.

I think UT has a legit shot at 11-1 and a BCS bowl game. A lot left to play for.

those hogs are looking a bit scary right at the moment w/ our depth on the d-line and their ability to run the ball. we have a shot as long as they keep working hard and keep getting better we need special teams help in the worst way. but firsts things first revenge for last year ALABAMA!!!

Anybody think we might jump INSIDE the top 10 after hanging 51 on the top ranked scoring defense in the Nation and SEC? maybe to 8 or 9? Could we jump ahead of Notre Dame because of who they played?

I think we end up 9 or 10. We ought to jump Auburn, LSU and Oregon.

2 blowout wins and a 1 point loss to 3 top 10 teams in the first 6 weeks is pretty darn impressive.

The Vols were 2 points away from being undefeated and ranked in the top 5. :wacko:

The only freakin way to jump the Domers is if they have one more loss than you do. It is a joke.

We put 50 on GA in Athens. We better get the respect we deserve. Hell i thought we were done after we got down 24-7. Im sure yall had your doubts also. But this team is resilient. And took the (IMO) the #2 team in the land down to the wire and lost by 1.

We should be top 5 but that wont happen. Top 10 is a given.

Oh I definitely agree with that....It's crazy how much love they get in the polls.....They'll fall soon though.....Man what I wouldn't give to have another shot at Florida...1 point away from being undefeated and a chance to play for a national championship
