Don't try to fire the guy after 1 season give him a shot. Yea i know we struggled to USA got torched by Oregon beat by UF, But that is no reason to call for a 1st year coachs head. Yes i agree we need a better QB but the problem isn't just your QB it's your WRs not following through so i say to you volnation Back your coach! Or get out!

Who is calling for him to be fired?

Please stop being crazy "either he's the pope and he's infallible or you must want him gone" extremists

No one is saying fire Butch.

But when it gets to the point that expecting a big win against the Sun Belt is too much to ask for maybe it is fair to ask a few question.

And it has always been the University of Tennessee not the University of Butch ..The University of Derek ...the University of Lane...or the University of Phil.

Posters such as yourself will never understand that though.

How does being critical of a few things translate into everybody is a negavol and wants Butch fired 5 games in?

Posts like this make me ill. Let's blindly follow a coach who has yet to prove himself in the SEC! That's turned out well for us the past several years, hasn't it? I don't want CBJ fired, yet at least. I want him to turn it around and will be ecstatic if he does. But I'm not going to praise him for accomplishments that haven't happenned either.

But if you don't blindly praise the coaching staff, some recruit might get on Volnation, take what a poster named "Weezer" says to heart, and not commit to UT! Oh, the humanity!

He's making 7 figures to coach in a league where the only thing that matters is wins and losses so if you win your a hero if you don't then people don't like you for a week

Posters like you will never understand. Right now we have sun belt talent. You have to give Him time to recruit.

South Alabama has been playing football, of any kind, for 5 years. 5. Years.

If we don't have better talent than them as you assert, perhaps we should concentrate on another sport.

I'm afraid if you are a true Vol fan we have no other option, but to support and back the coach, just as with the players we have what we have
