Anyone think we will see Williams or Hardesty soon?

I like Fosters style, But has he locked down the #2 spot?
I wanted to bring this up since we did get looks at Briscoe. Mayo is playing well, D-Mo has made his presence known, Even spotted Gaines in the game saturday night.

If it's as rainy and windy as the forecast says it will be, we'll have to play a 2-3 tailbacks. We may have to run it 50+ times.

I got no problem with running it 50+ times. The more I hear about the UF game, the more I understand that UM WANTED us to pass on him. He played man up basically all night.

Now with A QB to take all the reps and not have to look over his shoulder, I think we will do ok.

I don't buy the "Urban Meyer baited us into throwing" argument. We had guys in behind DBs at least 5 or 6 times and just didn't get the ball to them. They played man coverage against us and got away with it simply because we didn't make plays.

I don't think running it 50-60 times is necessarily the gameplan, but it may become a necessity if it's rainy and windy.

Yeah. Thats what Im saying. I mean, GR had his way with UF in the first half. Lord knows how many passing plays was originally running plays, but checked off at the line.

If your Ainge and you see Man up, you should be taught to call the audible. But you are also expected to complete the pass too.

Im not sure I would call Foster "little" at 6-2 215 lbs. But I think he has played well when given the chance. I REALLY feel we need to get some other backs(Williams, and Hardesty) some real work for the future. I mean to go into next year with only Foster having carries is NOT an ideal situation. IMO I think we need to slip Hardesty in when the defense is NOT looking for a no name freshman to make a play maybe a 2nd down and 1 or something......Hardesty on a screen pass with 3-4 guys out in front would be a welcome thought.

I hope we gain 250 yards rushing Saturday night. I don't care if we score a single passing TD. Ram it down their throat!

I agree. I first floated that theory, but immediately debunked it in the same breath. If that were his plan, then it was a good one. But no one, not even the Urban One could have imagined our QBs would be so off.

When you have the separation our receivers were getting on some plays and you come up short, it cetainly was not any design on the part of the defense that stopped us. It was horrible throws on the most part.

I've said from day one the QBs were playing too tight with the competition going into the season. I hope this is the last time Phil allows a QB competition to linger into the season. If you can't judge the best guy in spring and summer, you need to hand the job over to someone who can.

Whatever you do you got to have BALANCE.

If you dont believe me look at Oklahoma right now. They cant find a qb who cant pass effectively trying to run the ball 75% of the time. The result? 1-2 record.

You got to have a balance, and until the receivers and qb get on the same page, your not going to be able to just run the ball alone.
