The wife goes to Indy Monday for surgery on her kidney stones. They're going through her back and she be in the hospital at least overnite and then have a tube in her back for a week. Then on the 21st I have a colonoscopy. What a crappy month. Between that and work I haven't had a chance to get on here forever it seems.

Probably won't be online much if any the next few days. We're getting ready to head to Indy here in a few and the wife will be up there at least over nite. Talk to everyone later in the week! GO VOLS!

Everything went fine with the wife. She was in the hospitol overnite and actualy got the back tube removed the next day instead of having to wait a week. So I've been playing good hubby and changing her dressing and taking care of her...the award will be worth it in a few weeks. :) Now it's my turn to go for the colonoscopy Tuesday..talk about taking one for the team! lol

:hi: Having to go through the back sounds like a last resort. Sorry that it happened to your wife.

I have passed 102 stones in my life. Up until late last year, when one was too large to pass, they would perform Lythotripsy to pulverize the stone. I would then have to pass the pieces.

Late last year, they performed a cystoscopy where they run a laser up the ureter. This device pulverizes the stone and then grabs the pieces and pulls them out with the device.

Was your wife given these options before going through the back?

You guys sure know how to torture a sensitive smartass.

You've got all my good-thoughts & prayers. Bite Life's butt back, and give it a little extra chew for me...

102 stones? I passed one last October and thought I was going to die. You are a much stronger man than I.

One was to large to remove any other way so they had to go through the back. 102 of them??? Damn dude!

Yep! 102... My first one was at the age of 17 in 1975.

I, for obvious reasons, am known at work as the human gatlin gun :gun:
