Updated Fatalities

Unfortunately we've now confirmed seven fatalities in the Gallatin community.

The latest on television at News 2, We're streaming the same coverage on the Nashville Wx Channel.

They were talking about that on the news here in Knoxville. My family considers Gallatin as our true home, so that sucks. I pray for the families of those that have died. Doesn't it have something to do with Vol State?

Up to 10 deaths now apparently... News 2 said 35 reported touchdowns and 10 deaths? I was thinking that was for the whole south/out break area, not just Tennessee...?

I have the patio door open so I can hear the tornado coming. Does that count?

The tornado killed 11 (I think). The helicopter flyover in Sumner County showed a path of about 5 miles and alot of brick houses completely demolished.Horrendous.That makes about 35 people killed in Tennessee now form tornadoes.(2 weeks time).

i was in Anderson County tonight for a track meet and tornadoes formed directly over the school. they had to call the meet early due to lighting, and like 12 teams had to pack into Anderson County's gym. it was kinda scary, it was hailing tennis ball-size hail

I have 2 kids in Tennessee, with a CPA accountant mother. If shes as meticulous at family safety as she is at child support and insurance protocols my kids are safe. And hey.....thats ok with me.

if only storm chaser Bill Paxton was here to save us

That's a pretty ignorant and immature thing to say, even for a posse member.

sorry, tidwell, i'm gonna have to agree with mattvols, if Bill Paxton were here he'd teach us all how to survive the twister. (Check out my avatar)

Some of the fatalities were in the Brown's Lane sub division. It was hit pretty bad. I have friends who live there, and I'm a bit concerned. We were very fortunate. My side of town was spared. The college was hit, and the Toyota dealership across the street from the college was destroyed. It is really bad up here.

Are you from Gallatin originally?

Guys do yourself a favor and get out of this thread.

Thanks GV. When children and family of four wiped out and couple found buried underneath rubble dead holding one another, I can't find the humor only the ignorance.
