It's bad that 23 people in Dyer (15) and Gibson (8) counties were killed last night by tornadoes. One guy said he heard the roar of a train and 20 seconds later, the walls were caving in on him. I live in Rutherford County, Middle Tennessee, and have been fortunate. All I know for sure is the last 2 out of three nights we have been having tornado watch and warnings. Also producing golf ball sized hail.

I watched some hail landing on the street outside my offc in downtown Nashville. Looks like some bad stuff in nearby counties with more on the way.

i was in Anderson County tonight for a track meet and tornadoes formed directly over the school. they had to call the meet early due to lighting, and like 12 teams had to pack into Anderson County's gym. it was kinda scary, it was hailing tennis ball-size hail

Yeah. I think there are a couple of Sumner Co. people who post on here frequently. Hope everyone made it through this intact.

We're ok here. The storms missed our side of town. I have some friends who live in the Brown's Lane sub division who I'm concerned about. Their neighborhood was his pretty bad. Vol State Community College was hit, and the Toyota dealership across from the college was destroyed. The gas station where I normally get gas no longer exists. My daughter heard that Wal Mart was hit, but I haven't heard any confirmation. It's a real mess up here.

Thank you la. You are a great person. The only other Volnation member I know of from Sumner County is Section1234b, and I haven't seen him around here since football season ended. I hope he is ok. He lives in Hendersonville, and they were hit pretty bad too.
