"Tennessee brings two teams to the event, one of which was the surprise runner-up in the southeast regional. Perhaps the reason for the surprise is the play of some of the young players on the team. Memphis 2012 prospects Jovon Robinson and Nathan Cole both hold early offers from Alabama and they're joined by Brian Kimbrow who has been clocked at consistent sub-4.4 times in combines throughout the spring.

The young Tennessee team also has some elite seniors as well. Tight End Cameron Clear and multi-purpose athlete and Alabama commit Jabriel Washington are two of the top players in the state and the region.

the South Florida Express took home the title and it had the sterling play of its quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to thank.

Bridgewater made great decisions, showed good arm strength, accuracy and poise and marched his team to a score on each of the three times he had the ball.

"On Tuesday, I told coach that I hope some of the top quarterbacks in the country show up so that I can outplay them and show them that I deserve to be No. 1...

Welcome to the budding world of elite travel football, recruitniks

SI.com's Andy Staples recently accompanied the South Florida Express travel team, which includes 25 of Florida's top prospects, on an unofficial recruiting trip to a national tournament and four schools in the South. From The Grove to South Beach, Staples got a firsthand look of what it's like to be a top recruit. This is the first installment of a five-part series.

SOMEWHERE ON THE FLORIDA TURNPIKE -- Wayne Lyons had stretched his body into a position no normal human would find comfortable. Lyons, a blue-chip defensive back from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., sprawled across two bus seats, his legs dangling into the aisle. He slept soundly.

While Lyons dozed, his South Florida Express teammates sitting in the rear of the bus hatched a plot. The mastermind was B.J. Dubose, a star defensive end at Northeast High in Oakland Park, Fla. The first of their coaches who dared enter the bus bathroom would find himself trapped inside, the door braced by coolers and elite athletes.
