I love Swiperboy, because he obviously loves his teammates and the whole university!!! He gets it!! I'm worried that if he transfers next year's team will lack an element of chemistry. I think this year's team has a great chance to win it all if the matchups fall their way. The biggest advantage we have is I think we just have the right guys at the right time and this collection of personalities all the way from Negedu on the bench provides a huge togetherness and relaxed atmosphere the allows them to trust the game plans and play loose!
This team does not shoot it that well, but they defend well and they're dangerous like a mid major team offensively, because they have a big that can hit the three ball and defenses can't just focus on taking one player away, because this team has proven that anybody could step up at anytime.
I hope we get the following matchups. If so I'm predicting, championship!
Ohio St.: Our depth and the ability to switch with length and athleticism should make it very difficult for Ohio St. to score. Our size, if we convert the give-me inside, should allow us to dominate the interior and JP should have an easy time with entry passes to the post with his size advantage.
Michigan St.: without Kalen Lucas they turn the ball over like crazy and that plays right to this team's strength.
Washington: I think our length and switching man-to-man defenses would give them fits
Duke: Finally, I don't think Duke is that good! I'm hoping they can sqeak through to the final if we make it! I think this may be our easiest game! Bobby Maze and JP are too quick for Duke to stay in front of and if we win a championship it will be tied directly to our switching man-to-man defense which is only possible due to the athleticism of our bigs!! Again, for all SP haters, if we win the whole thing, it will be because of the athleticism of our switching man-to-man defense!!
