How much talent could they potentially lose after the season? Would they just simply reload or could it possibly take time to rebuild. From a talent and numbers standpoint. Sorry, McShay and Kiper are building Bama up so I was just curious.

LSU is not going to lose much.

Offense:
-Jarrett Lee QB
-Stampley FB (splits time with Copeland)
-Peterson TE
- Dworaczyk OG
- Blackwell OG

Notable backups
- T-Bob Herbert (C/OG) (part-time starter but he plays a lot and can play multiple positions)
- Shaw OT

Defense:
- Adams DE
- Francois LB
- Baker LB
- Taylor S

Notable backups
- Hatcher LB

The thing is LSU is playing backups more than they do starters at times, the whole defense gets rotated in so really the defense is not really going to miss anyone. Even those starters on D don't start every game, next year the D will be better.

The big loses are the OGs and Peterson at TE.

There is no reloading, LSU should be much stronger next year and 2013. The D line is just insane. LSU is rotating about 8-10 guys in on the DL right now with no drop off in production.

Mingo So.
Montgomery So.
The Freak Fr.
Brockers So.
Logan So.
Ferguson RSFr.
Downs Jr.
Edwards Jr.
Maclin Fr. - DE/LB
Mickey Johnson RSFr. (Grayshirt)
Allen Fr.
Thomas Fr. (Redshirt probably)
Adams Sr.
Aghayere Jr.
Rasco Fr. (Redshirt probably)

The one thing that could mess up the D is Claiborne if he goes to the NFL, the LSU might have to move Mathieu to full-time CB instead of nickle, where he is real effective. Unless Claiborne goes to the NFL I don't see any drop off in the D and it might even be stronger.

Mingo is going to be sick for the Tigers with Montgomery on the other end.

What ever happened to Ricky-Jean Francis(sp) that DT LSU had for a while..

Both schools have so much talent they don't have to rebuild or worry about depth. They just reload, especially LSU.

Couldn't hack school, plays for the 49ers, I think he mostly a backup.

If Mingo can ever keep weight on he could be 1st rounder, he is way light though as is. He is freaking fast though.

LSU's best corner will be departing. Mathieu can't leave yet.

Yeah, they'll have to move Mathieu out to CB full-time, which is not bad as he is probably one of the top CBs in the country but he is more effective as a roamer or blitzing the QB, that guy is a turnover waiting to happen.

Drop that by 20-30lbs. LSU has him listed at 240 but I think he was wearing his football gear. :) He could be awesome in time, he is fast, he can basically track down most RBs.

He's listed at 310 now, he doesn't look that big but he is, not overly fat for that weight.

The so called experts are saying WV gives LSU a scare in Morgantown Saturday night.

Thoughts?

Until LSU constantly make teams pay for play 8-9 in the box on 1st down by throwing deep, I see no reason why it couldn't be a close game. If WV doesn't turn the ball over they have a shot. IMHO

^^ Agree. In Morgantown makes a huge difference, and WVU has the ability to score.
