Kids putting up decent numbers and is on a better team the UT...I just remember 90% of the people here didn't want him. Well we did get Worley and that's working out.

It looks like he was a rather unheralded 2-star QB from Pulaski, TN, but how many of you would take him on our team right now? Ole Miss is definitely an improved team.

Looks that way. Ole Miss blew their chance to make it a game. Now Bama will just pound the rock and run clock.

My thing is that the defender took several steps after the incompletion. There was no need to take the shot at him in the first place.

I almost feel that this game's also an example of why it's not a bad thing to just take the points on 4th down and kick the field goals

I guess when Bo Wallace said they were gonna score some points on Bama's defense, he wasn't thinking field goals. Silly Bo.

Disagree. That was a prime example of targeting a defensless player.

Hard to argue that when the defender lowered his head and turned to the side before the receiver lowered his. The contact occurred between the top of the receiver's helmet and the side of the defender's.

Jackson took 2-3 steps before he decided to lower his head. He had plenty of time to hold up, the WR clearly didn't catch the ball and he saw that. He took a cheap shot no other way to explain it.

Our phenom, Jackson, did a great job all night. Could he have held up, probably. So? The "O" Miss defensive linemen could have held up and yet chose to hit AJ and got 15 yards for their trouble. But they didn't dismiss them for the next 4 quarters. So when you say, he could have held up, not to the point he should be disqualified.

Maybe. But what you are describing is unnecessary roughness, not targeting. Jackson did not initiate contact with the receiver's head.
