We’ve all read where CJP was a bit shocked with the “eye test” at the lack of size on our roster, which is not hard to understand when you look at the recent USA Today NFL Mock Draft (see below). More than half of his defensive starters (6 of them, with 3 in the first round!) are projected to be drafted in the 1st four rounds! (2 on the list below are on offense). Btw, there is not a single UT player projected to go in the 1st four rounds. Pruitt has some talent waiting for him in Knoxville but it’s a far cry from what he’s leaving. I'm looking forward to watching him correct that over the next few years.

Btw, I’ve included their star rating from high school. For those of you who ignore “stars,” you’re kidding yourselves.

1st Round:
4 Minkah Fitzpatrick (5*) | DB | Alabama
14 Rashaan Evans (5*) | LB | Alabama
19. Calvin Ridley (5*) | WR | Alabama
23. Ronnie Harrison (4*) | S | Alabama

2nd Round:
37. Da’Ron Payne (5*) | DL | Alabama

3rd Round:
82. Levi Wallace (4*) | CB | Alabama

4th Round:
99. Anthony Averett (4*) | CB | Alabama
107. Damien Harris (5*) | RB | Alabama

Da'Ron Payne is the best player on that list. He and Minkah Fitzpatrick are the only true first round talents on there.

Why would our guys leave early if they're not projected to go high in the draft? Can't be the money, which would be better if they waited and got a full season under their belts (without injuries or suspensions). Sounds like bad advice from desperate agents. I wish them well but seems to be a questionable decision for anyone, not just ours. If you go undrafted, you might get lucky, but much more likely you end up playing in Canada.

It's paying off for us already.

Griffin mentioned the draft picks Pruitt has produced as one big reason we lead for him.

Levi Wallace is a former walk-on. Rated ZERO stars.

Didn't you say UT had more talent than Bama? How many guys do you think should be first rounders from our roster?

Gosh, I hope Pruitt recognized the "lack of size" long before he got to Knoxville as Head Coach. Hell, I saw it in Tuscalooser this past October pretty damn clear!

Nobody “ignores” stars. It’s just not the thing everyone looks at. You see 3* and automatically see terrible player.

Besides, any argument you make goes out the window with you lying about Levi Wallace lol

Mayfield and chubb, both projected top 5 in your mock draft.were 3*’s, Mayfield wasn’t even 1,000 in the country

Sorry, made a mistake. I was looking at his jersey number (#39) and thought this was 247’s ranking. Dumb mistake.

Thanks, Butchna, for putting the right info out there without attacking my character. A couple of you could learn from that approach (oh, what I wouldn't give to meet guys like you in person...).

2016 Vols. And I'll be proven right once they get to the NFL and start to dominate.

Alvin Kamara has already done what I said he would do. Sutton and Dobbs are up next.

Dobbs couldn't even get a snap in a meaningless game. Landry Jones took every snap.
