its always a great game when these 2 excellent programs square off, regardless of rankings, records, and despite all the Gallion BS. Welcome aboard!

F*&% Tennessee! They are counting thier money out and cutting checks to the officials even as we speak. It won't help this week, though. This is going to be another Tenn v AUB game this weekend. The game will be over by the end of the first quarter.
:bash:

Probably so.

'Bama is too weak to last much past the first 5 minutes of the first quarter.

Heck, we might just put Jim Bob Cooter in to start the second half, just so next year we can discuss how even Jim Bob Cooter handed your rear end to you.

Good jab on us paying off the officials though that dead mule hasnt been kicked enough..... other than a few questionable calls which most still say werent as one sided as the Anti-Tennessee media made them out to be, i have yet to see any fould we are NOT getting called for, and have seen quite a few times we had no calls, or poor calls (a big hold vs Georgia, an out of bounds vs Ole Miss to name two). I guess we all just hope to someday be like 'Bama, I mean for quite a while you guys did put the best team money could buy out on the field.

Are you kidding me!? 9 in one game is more than a few, and an ANTI-TENNESSEE media? I've never heard of such a thing. The problem is that the PRO-TENNESSEE media is not making a big enough deal about the biased calls. After the Florida game, ESPN asked the commish about the calls and his reply was that if the calls had been made in the first quarter, then they would not have been having that conversation. NO DUH. If it had happened in the first quarter, UF could have overcome the calls, but when it happens with less than 2 minutes left in the game, and the opposing team scores on one of the botched calls, leaving more time on the clock so that they can kick a 50 YARD field goal to win the game, you don't have time to overcome the calls. UcheaT!!

Don't come in here calling UT cheaters. I believe its Alabama that almost got the death penalty. 0-13 in 1993 for paying players. Caught spending cash in Memphis. You bammers live in denial. Just take your punishment and shut up. Next time you get caught cheating, you'll get the death penalty for sure. SMU and now Alabama. :flush:

I hate to tell you guys that the national media has bigger issues to deal with than whether they will be pro-UT, pro-Bama, etc. (Like, whether to be pro-Democrat or pro-Republican - much more important!) ;) Calls go one way or the other. It's the bias of fans that makes for a media bias. Here's hoping it's a close one - for the first half.
GO VOLS!

Call me crazy but guys I think this is going to be a close one...

First off our O line is kinda banged up and we will be facing a good defense...

Second we lost a d-line player that was good at stopping the run....

If Bama ball controls us and we sputter on O like we did against Ole Miss..things could get ugly!

I hope the UT players get focused for this one and we play all 4 quarters!

I agree. No Mahelona and no Johnson on D could spell trouble, especially if Bama runs well enough to mix in the pass. Besides, this one's usually closer than it should be.

I think this one is incapable of showing any class.

I'd bet dollars to nickels that CPF is gonna have our boys, O-line in particular, breathing fire on Saturday - I'm kind of expecting a close game (you know the Bama players are going to give everything they've got) but hoping they'll prove me wrong - this team seems to keep doing that but the whole injury thing has me a little nervous. I think the thing that carries our team is this week and makes the biggest difference is Fulmer's passion for this particular game and what a great job he does instilling that same feeling in his players - it's easy to get caught up with UF or UGA, especially for the younger guys, but Fulmer is old school UT and never overlooks or de-emphasizes Alabama.

Thanks to all the Bama fans who are posting here - it makes game week that much more fun, and you guys with class (you know who you are), we promise not to assume all Bama fans are of the same mindset as Bamaball, Austin, and a few of the other quacks we've met this week.

We definitely need the o-line and defense to suck it up this week.Bama will give us a fight.

I think Bama will hang tough in the first half, but their lack of depth will put them under in the second half. I'm also thinking Bama will put 8 in the box, like Ole Miss, but I know for sure Ainge and Phil are looking at hitting over the top.

Glad to hear that! Unfortunately there's always a few cheapshot artists that wanna toss a few fireballs around and generally stir up trouble. I dont bother reading it and as soon as I see that sort of flame-baiting, I try to move on without comment. Its unworthy of both school traditons and not worth our time. The fact is that this is a very good traditional rivalry that has been tainted by some "off-the-field" activities. Most of the people involved are people most of us will never meet in our lifetimes, wouldn't speak to us if they did, and could probably care what we think. These activities are beyond the control of fans and we shouldnt crawl through the sewage that is left behind by the afore mentioned activities.

(Besides, i still plan to vacation in Tennessee win, lose or draw). :D

I'm looking forward to a great game from both teams this weekend. I think it will be hard-fought on the field and hopefully it will remain on the field. But Orange Crush has a point. A lot will depend on whether or not we can pass in this game. If we cant, then Ut would be crazy not to line up 8 or 9 in the box and stuff the run. I mean..heck, we won a National Championship doing that. Its common football 101. :pepper:

I believe that UT will blitz often in order to rattle our 3rd string QB and I'm almost positive Bama will do the same to your Freshman QBs. We have a very good offensive line as do UT. So it will be interesting to learn who can and cannot pick up the blitz.

I think UT is probably in better shape at the QB position and (more importantly) they are deeper in talent (for obvious reasons). I don't know what your injury situation is but am assuming you are in good shape there. We lost our top 2 playmakers for the season and this has severely limited our options. (In fact, the 'option' might have been a good idea at this point). :D

I watched the alabama spring game on TV and I was more impressed with Darby as your main back...

How deep are you guys past him?

The O-Line player that got hurt last year in the Alabam UT game...how has he done this year? I hate to see serious injuries like that to kids.... That really fired up the crowd to when he gave the thumbs up!

Wesley Britt broke his leg in that game but has the heart of a lion (and I think is an All-American). He's a Good-'Un. His little brother is playing for us now too.

Tim Castille is dividing his time between FB and HB and will backup Darby. He's an excellent back with a lot of power. After that, I think there is one other guy, but he doesnt have a lot of playing time.

(Oh man..this is almost like going to a gunfight with a knife. Maybe the planets will line up just right or something).

I don't think Austin is a Bama fan....you must be thinking of someone else. ???
