Seems he was in the positon to get significant playing time especially with the multiple issues with Tony Brown. Players leave LSU for a variety of reasons all the time, a 5-star just left last week because he was moving down the depth chart but I am confused as to why this guy would be leaving 2 weeks before the start of the season which looks like he was in a position to get some snaps.

He got jumped by a couple of true freshmen heading into the most recent scrimmage. I've heard speculation that Saban was trying to send the kid a message by taking some snaps, but if that's the case then the kid obviously failed that test.

Well, its easy for other people to be confused and it might come off as self serving, but the attrition here seems somewhat concerning... I would imagine. I mean, at LSU 4 WRs left between the spring and last week, so I get as an outside observer could take it as a potential problem. To be honest, not sure how anyone takes Saban's crap, but I am bias as I don't like the little bastard. I'm sure Bama will be just fine, not sarcasm.

Like LSU at receiver, Bama is obscenely deep at DB, and Eddie Jackson is the only Senior in that group.

Or a byproduct of the recruiting sites assuming that someone recruited by Saban is better than they actually are.

I think the recruiting sites are influenced by how some coaches view players. I don't think Jones is there but I think Saban, Meyer, and a few others are.
