Bama opens at -4.5, Gators at -11...

I'd be all over Bama and Oregon to cover the spread. I have no idea how Florida will react after their loss. You've got to be nuts to bet on the Orange Bowl.

The bettors agree with you. 73% of the early action is on Bama and 69% on Oregon.

I'll take Bama now at 4.5 & when that Bama $$$ runs it up to 7.5 I'll take Texas.

I know the title game in '05 had many people viewing SC like they view Bama now, and Texas won, but I still have a hard time believing Texas will keep it within two TD's.

Texas has got a good enough defense to keep it close I think. They have had a couple of starting corners out against A&M, that probably made alot of people question their worth. I hope it is a good game and I actually want Texas to win. I don't say that very often.

Shoot, call me a homer but I'm taking tOSU. Their defense can actually tackle. Look at what they did to Texas last year. If Tressel can call a good game on offense and they limit turnovers, they win.

I think the Gators play well and cover since it's Tebow's last game although -11 is pretty high.

I still think Tressel is a good big game coach. OSU really isn't all that special. OSU can win, but at this point it's hard to be confident in them.

Yeah I understand. The biggest problem I have with them is how their offense has no identity and hasn't gotten better during the year. Their defense will keep em in the game. If the offense can run the ball well, they win.

As long as that big game isn't against USC, or in bowls.

Not sure I agree with you there. I think the only bowl game he was out coached in was the 2006 national title game.

And as good as Tressel is in big games, Carroll is better.

The only good thing tOSU has going for them is they are not playing a SEC team. The bad thing is Oregon's offense is better than any SEC team.
