Except one or two years ago when LSU came out in their all white,gold flake helmet, gold shoes and another year when they had a white helmet, except for those times they have remained staunchly loyal to their "tradition."

Also, Bama did a houndstooth hologram in their #s before too, kind of like our checkerboards on the smokeys

Truth is,save Texas and PSU, these teams have spiced up unis on occasion (throwbacks).
But point about unis having no bearing on good or bad is SPOT ON.

All 4 have, and the first two have had some pretty large changes at times recently. I like the gray unis but the truth is we are 0-2 in them. I say use them once again next year, and if we lose again, retire them.
