Bama's Hightower out for season (merged)

For all of those who didn't catch any of the highlights from the Bama game, Dont'a suffered a season ending knee injury just like Reviez. I really hate this for both of these kids and wish both of them a speedy recovery.

Yeah! I knew it when I saw the look in his faces and the coaches as he was taken off the field.

Not good news, but we have a lot more depth than years past, so no excusses, must move on.

out for the season as well. I don't know which is bigger us losing Reviez or Bama losing Hightower. Probably us losing Nick Bama, Bama has more depth.

Don't let Bama fool you, if McClain is their #1 LB, then he's #1a. They do have better depth than we do but they will still miss him a little bit.

I honestly think moving a guy like Frazier to MLB is the best we could hope for while we try to slug our way through the SEC. We'll miss Reveiz, but Frazier will still make a few plays that Nick can't on athleticism alone. I think for the most part our defense will still do a good job.

Thats terrible for both players. This is the negative side of football. One injury can derail your college and NFL career. I wish them both a speedy recovery.

I told everyone when he was a Junior that he was probably the best player in the state. I wanted him bad. Everyone talked about how good Chris Donald looked in videos, and I would agree, he did. However, Hightower would punish people and cover from sideline to sideline as good as any highschool LB I have ever seen.
