Has been smashed. I know most of you hate OSU.....but they just had just short of 96k in attendance at their spring game. The team may choke like crazy during "big games", but ya gotta respect the passion of their fans (IMO, 2nd only to us). FWIW, Pryor looked real good throwing the ball as well.

Yeah I heard someone say that earlier. I should've gone to the game to be a part of the record. I watched it on tv and it's just a spring game, but Pryor looked much better throwing the ball. Ray Small made some good plays too. I'm just glad Bama doesn't have the record anymore.

I just got back from their spring game. They just set the national record for spring game attendance 98K. Pryor looked solid, couple of game breakers in wide receivers, and a solid D.

Their fans are very passionate, and was amaze at the atmosphere. If I wasn't a Vols fan, I would of fell asleep during the orange and white game.

P.S. I have a hard time believing the shoe can fit 100K, it doesn't look any bigger than Neyland, not as deep, and the upper deck doesn't go all around.

I'm not really sure since their expectations this year are lower than the last 3 seasons. The weather was really warm, though. Last year was kinda cold and rainy.

At least Alabama has some beaches. Ohio is just a wasteland of badly cracked concrete and obesity.

Uh...there is about 1 Million more things to do in Columbus than Chattanooga or Knoxville, as I have lived in all 3....but thats beside the point. People are excited about the team this year cause Pryor is in his 2nd year and they have a lot of young, talented, fast WRs this year that they hope will open up the offense a bunch....also, not much is expected of them (other than yet another Little 10 title) so no real pressure. The fact that it was the nicest day of the year by far didnt hurt at all I am sure. If you are a college football FAN (ie, dont hate players or wish them ill cause the color of their uniform doesnt match your favorite) take a look at some of Pryors passes from the S&G game in the 2nd quarter. I think he is going to be serving massive amounts of crow to the "he cant throw" pundits. I know he wouldnt exactly fit our CLK offense, but I sure would like to know what our record would have been last year if he was our QB.....assuming, of course, Philly boy wuldnt have had him sitting on the bench simply cause he was a Freshman.

If spring game attendance is the measure, "2nd" is too high.

Not sure what you mean.....spring game attendance is a general reflection of the excitement or anticipation of a fan base, whic his why our O&W game was fairly packed. If you think that somehow UT fans are way more passionate about their team than OSU fans, then you OBVIOUSLY havent spent any time in Columbus. They are border line maniacal.

And to the above about Fulmer starting Freshman QB's....I didnt say he never did. The only ones that comes to mind recently are Brent Schaeffer and Ainge in the same year, but did he have any other real choce that year? Can you name another? I couldnt remember if Casey started as a true freshman or not. P. Manning started cause of injuries. Its no secret PF didnt like to play freshmen.

I think it was $5 and they let students get in free with their student id, which I think they just allowed in the last week. It was cool though. It definitely had a gameday atmosphere on campus.
